Be overwhelmed by emotion! Pro Musica is proud to present to the Montreal public, again this year, a most enchanting musical season! To amateurs of intense sensations : the concerts on offer stand out from the crowd due to outstanding artists of international stature, while never loosing sight of Pro Musica’s educative mission : to promote the beauty and richness of the chamber music repertory. Three exceptional series will offer outstanding moments of great music, featuring performers whose quality of execution is sure to make a lasting impression.

The PIERRE-ROLLAND series is presented at the Maison Symphonique, whose reputation as one of the best concert halls worldwide is undisputed. Enjoy the best listening conditions and be seduced by the sonorities of French cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras, whose interpretation of Bach’s solo cello suites has been unanimously praised by critics, as well as the virtuosity of Russian pianist Alexander Melnikov. In March, two concerts that you won’t want to miss : from Germany, the Artemis Quartet, one of the greatest string quartets of the moment, as well as the German duo Lars Vogt (piano) and Christian Tetzlaff (violin), whose virtuosity and musical understanding will dazzle you.

The RECITALS series features four outstanding artists of the international scene : Louis Lortie (piano), Natalie Dessay (voice), Yo-Yo Ma (cello) and Hilary Hahn (violin), four incomparable moments of the musical season. This prestigious series, presented for a 2nd years in partnership with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, invites you to get closer to exceptional artists in the intimate atmosphere of the Maison Symphonique.

In the mood for great discoveries? The concerts of the DOMINICA series, which have garnered this year a tremendous popularity, will be held on Sundays afternoons at the Salle Bourgie of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Young emerging artists from here and abroad, whose talent has sparked the highest hopes, will enable you to experience chamber music in all its intimacy. Marvel at the skills of Marika Bournaki (piano), Valérie Milot (harp), baritone Étienne Dupuis in collaboration with the Claudel-Canimex String Quartet, as well as clarinettist Eric Abramovitz. To make this enchantment last, 10 concerts will be added with the Mélodînes series; do not miss this opportunity to make happy discoveries during lunchtime on Thursdays afternoons at the Studio-Théâtre or the Piano Nobile of the Place des Arts.
